Miracle After Miracle

Series Overview

In our ‘Miracle After Miracle’ series, children will explore how the miracles of Jesus reveal the heart and character of God. From the very beginning, when God declared Jesus as His Son at His baptism, through the miracles that followed in His ministry, children are discovering that these moments aren’t just powerful—they show us what God is like. Each miracle highlights a different aspect of God’s character. Children will see that God is loving, powerful, present, and deeply caring for people. Our prayer is that through these stories, children won’t just be amazed by what Jesus did, but they will grow in their understanding of God’s character and begin to trust Him more in their everyday lives.

A Voice From Heaven

4/19/2026 Lesson Overview

This week, children learned about baptism. They discovered that Jesus was also baptized and that God’s voice from heaven declared, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy” (Mark 1:11), revealing both Jesus’ identity and God’s heart. Children explored how baptism today symbolizes a new life in Jesus—our old life is gone, and we are made new in Him. Through a simple object lesson, they saw a picture of how Jesus changes us from the inside out. As the series continues, children will begin to see how every miracle of Jesus reveals more of who God is and how deeply He loves us.
Foundational Verse:
And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
Mark 1:11 NLT

Memory Verse

John 20:31a NLT
These are written so you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God.

Keep the Conversation Going at Home

Our heart is to partner with you in nurturing your child’s faith. We believe discipleship begins in the home, and when families talk about God together and involve Him in daily life, it makes a lasting impact. These simple ideas can help you keep the conversation going throughout the week:

Act It Out:

Let your child retell the story of Jesus’ baptism using a cup of water and a toy figure. Listen for their understanding of “old life” and “new life.”

Hear God's Voice:

Remind your child that just like God spoke over Jesus, God speaks truth over us too. Speak life-giving words over your child this week (e.g., “You are loved,” “God has a plan for you”) and encourage them to do the same for others.

Discuss as a Family:

Use simple, ongoing conversations to help your child remember and apply what they learned. This can be easily incorporated in your day-to-day routine. Try asking these questions during dinner, in the car, or right before bed:
  • “Why do you think Jesus chose to be baptized even though He is the Son of God?”
  • Talk about “old life” vs. “new life” in simple, everyday examples (like making better choices). Help your child connect how Jesus changes our hearts, not just our actions.
  • “What is something new Jesus is helping you learn or change in your life?”
